Junior Secondary
Growing in confidence and character
Junior Secondary years are particularly important. Students face numerous choices and challenges as they continue to explore their place in the world through an education emphasizing intellectual, emotional, social, and physical growth. During this time, their growing capacity and ability to make complex personal choices will establish the attitudes and values they will take into adulthood. Our goal is to extend their skills and abilities and to challenge them to examine their own thoughts and values. To achieve this, it is vital that we offer dynamic educational programs with a focus on academic excellence through the US Common Core Standards, extra co-curricular enhancement and deeply embedded pastoral care to be ready to excel in their senior secondary years. Our Junior High course maintains a broad scope of study in order to cater for a wide range of interests and future possibilities. Students study English Language Art ( ELA), Language Acquisition, Mathematics, Science, Humanities and Social Sciences (History, Geography, Economics, and Business),Technology and Computer Science, Music, Physical Education, in US Common Core Standards as core curriculum. Finding your future and inspiring the world
HCIS's Senior Secondary curriculum offers unparalleled opportunities by integrating academic achievement, leadership, and career/university counseling programs, providing students with exceptional pathways for college admission and personal growth. Our outstanding College and Career Counseling program is optimized to help students plan and prepare for their careers after Secondary Course. We believe that the Secondary Course must meet students' needs and be modern to keep pace with the rapidly changing global society. To this end, HCIS supports students in making informed choices through a systematic approach, offering opportunities to explore the best paths tailored to their individual interests and career goals. HCIS is accredited by the Middle States Association (MSA) and follows the American college admission education system. As such, we implement a Weighted GPA through U.S. academic assessments, including the SAT, Honor Program, and Advanced Placement (AP) courses. The AP system, administered by the College Board, is an internationally recognized college credit program that provides students with the opportunity to gain admission to the world’s top universities. HCIS designs a variety of AP programs tailored to students’ abilities and career paths, collaborating with global teams to ensure students can systematically complete AP courses and design their pathways effectively. The AP program plays a critical role in admissions to prestigious institutions such as Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, as well as top universities in the UK, Australia, Europe, and Asia. Additionally, HCIS actively supports students' career development through internship programs and pre college credit opportunities, and we are establishing a Global Education Network to enhance this support. We are confident that this network will significantly aid students in effectively planning their academic and career trajectories.
